Chelsea need to pay higher fee to sign Arsenal star
Chelsea will need to pay a higher transfer fee to sign Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The west London giants are looking to land another striker before the transfer deadline and they have spoken with Balogun's agents.
However, a deal is far from straightforward with the Gunners likely to demand a higher fee from their London rivals.
Mikel Arteta's side have set an asking price of £50 million for overseas clubs and talks are currently ongoing with Monaco.
The Blues are yet to open formal negotiations with the Gunners for the 22-year-old, but they would need to pay much more.
Chelsea are currently looking to part ways with Romelu Lukaku. If they are successful, they could spend big on Balogun.
Balogun has already given the green light for the transfer through his agents, but the final decision rests on Arsenal.
The USA international has not been in the matchday squad for the first two games and he is widely expected to leave.
