Cameron Archer set for Sheffield Utd

Sheff Utd will secure a major coup in the signing of Aston Villa striking prospect Cameron Archer, as the England youth international looks set to pen a long-term deal at The Blades. Cameron Archer caught the eye at England's 2023 under-21 European Championship victory, scoring two goals in the tournament and taking part in the final.

Archer has opted to move to Sheffield United, where he is guaranteed a place in the starting line-up and hopes to prove that he is capable as a top division striker.

The arrival of Jhon Duran and Moussa Diaby has effectively ended Archer's chances of action at villa Park, and he will now take the opportunity on offer in Sheffield.

Sheffield United will pay £18 million upfront for Archer, and an estimated £4.5 million in add-ons. In addition, Villa have negotiated a 20 percent sell-on clause, as well as first option on an Archer return.
