Erik ten Hag praises massive performance from Man Utd star

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Harry Maguire following his massive performance against Fulham in the Premier League.

The Red Devils returned to winning ways over the weekend with a 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage. Bruno Fernandes made the difference with a 91st minute winner.

Aside from Fernandes, Maguire also had a brilliant game at the back. He won 10 duels, made nine clearances and completed six long balls. The centre-back was solid defensively.

Speaking after the game, Ten Hag said that the former captain showed leadership and he is very pleased with his performance against the Cottagers on the road.

He said: "[Maguire] was playing a massive, massive game. A very good performance. He showed leadership and in and out of possession he was very good, so I'm very pleased with that performance from Harry."

With the late victory, United have moved within six points off fourth-placed Arsenal. The Gunners suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Newcastle United on Saturday.
