Man Utd confirm bad news on Eriksen & Hojlund

Manchester United have confirmed bad news on Christian Eriksen and Rasmus Hojlund following their injuries against Luton Town.

Eriksen sustained a knee injury in the opening half against the Hatters and he was replaced by Mason Mount before the interval break.

Meanwhile, Hojlund suffered a muscle issue in the back end of the game and he was eventually taken off the field in the 79th minute.

Both players recently withdrew from international duty and United confirm that Eriksen won't be available for action for four weeks.

Hojlund's injury is not serious however and he is anticipated to make his comeback to the team before the end of the month.

United have had a poor start to the campaign and they have suffered a stunning nine defeats from just 18 games played.

Despite this, they have still accumulated 21 points in the Premier League and are only seven away from the top of the table.

Erik ten Hag will be hoping that his team can build momentum during the festive period in order to challenge for the league title.
