Man Utd identify Frenchman to replace Casemiro
Manchester United have identified Monaco midfielder Youssouf Fofana as a potential candidate to replace Casemiro in January.
Casemiro joined the Red Devils from Real Madrid last year and he had a brilliant debut season. He stood out with his defensive and offensive contributions.
However, he has failed to replicate the same in the current campaign. He has looked a shadow of himself and is currently out until the New Year after a hamstring injury.
Casemiro is also on the radar of Saudi clubs in January and reports claim that United could replace him with Fofana. The Red Devils previously failed to sign him on loan.
They could now explore a permanent transfer if Casemiro were to move to Saudi for big money. Monaco are likely to hold out for at least €40m to sell him this winter.
Fofana has also been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool. He was on the radar of Fulham and Brentford last summer but he was reluctant to join either club.
