Crystal Palace make offer to sign Arsenal striker
Crystal Palace have made an approach to sign Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah during the January transfer window.
The Eagles are currently struggling in the final third and they are aiming to freshen up their striking options at the turn of the year.
They have been long-term admirers of Nketiah and Daily Mail claim that they have made an enquiry to land the Gunners graduate.
However, Mikel Arteta's side have no desire of parting ways with Nketiah at the moment. Their stance could change next month.
The club have their sights on landing Ivan Toney from Brentford, but the Englishman could cost as much as £80 million.
Arsenal will have to recoup part of the fee from player sales and there is a good possibility that Nketiah could head for an exit.
Any amount recouped from Nketiah's sale would be pure profit in FFP, but the Gunners are unlikely to sell him on the cheap.
They may want at least £40m to sell the 24-year-old.
