Chelsea planning clever move to sign Victor Osimhen
Chelsea are reportedly planning to make a clever move to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen ahead of Arsenal.
The Nigerian recently penned a new contract with a €130m release clause and he won't be leaving this winter.
Despite this, the Blues are preparing an agreement for him. They want to sign him in advance for next summer.
The Blues previously recruited Christopher Nkunku from Leipzig in a similar kind of pre-contract agreement.
The London giants plan to repeat the same trick to sign Osimhen, who was a boyhood Blues fan, according to reports.
Chelsea are currently 10th in the Premier League table with 28 points, but they have closed the gap to the European spots.
After back-to-back wins, they find themselves five points behind seventh-placed West Ham United in the league standings.
Seventh has been enough to qualify for the UEFA Conference League in each of the previous two league campaigns.
Arsenal are also keen admirers of Osimhen, but they could prioritise a deal for Brentford striker Ivan Toney this winter.
