Chelsea ready to sell striker before deadline
Chelsea are prepared to part ways with striker Armando Broja during the ongoing transfer window, according to Standard Sport.
The Albanian has struggled to cement a regular starting role with the Blues this season amid his lack of consistency in the final third.
Broja recently shared his minutes alongside Nicolas Jackson, but he was back on the bench with Cole Palmer favoured as a false nine against Middlesbrough.
It is a clear indication that Mauricio Pochettino does not trust his abilities and it is now reported that he could be sold for £50 million.
The likes of West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among his admirers, but a deal is unlikely at the current price tag.
If Chelsea are willing to lower the fee to around £35-40m, there is a good possibility that Broja could head for the exit door this winter.
If Broja were to leave the club, the hierarchy could push to sign a marquee striker. Sporting's Viktor Gyokeres is apparently the top target.
