Viktor Gyokeres reacts to Chelsea transfer talk

Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres has clarified that he is fully focused on the club amid the transfer interest from Chelsea this month.

The Blues are aiming to land a marquee striker in the current transfer window and they are looking into a deal for the former Coventry City star.

When pressed on the speculation, Gyokeres insisted that he does not think about what is mentioned in the media and he is only focused on games.

He said: "I don't think anything about it. I'm here and we have important games, I'm focused on that."

"There's a lot of talk on social media and other places, but I'm not focused on that.

"I don't think about anything else. I'm here now and I'm 100 percent focused on this and the club."

The 25-year-old has been in sensational form for the Portuguese giants this term. He has 22 goals and 10 assists from just 25 appearances.

Chelsea are determined to sign him but Sporting have made it clear that he won't be sold for less than his €100m release clause this winter.
