Arsenal midfielder on his way to Turkish giants?
Arsenal midfielder Jorginho could make a surprise move to Turkish football with Besiktas this month, according to Sports Digitale.
The Italian joined the Gunners from Chelsea last winter. He started plenty of games last term, but he is currently a bench warmer.
The midfielder has stayed calm over his situation, but reports claim that contact has been made with Besiktas via his agent.
The response has been positive from the Turkish giants and a transfer could materialise before the end of the transfer window.
Arsenal currently have Declan Rice as the preferred number six, but he picked up a knock in the recent victory over Crystal Palace.
If he is injured, Jorginho is the natural replacement in the squad, considering Thomas Partey has yet to return from a thigh issue.
Partey has been working hard to make his comeback, but he is still a couple of weeks away from a return to the matchday squad.
Hence, it would be a surprise if Jorginho leaves Arsenal this winter.
