Chelsea striker target out with fresh injury
Chelsea striker target Jhon Duran is set to be sidelined for the next few weeks with an injury, according to Aston Villa manager Unai Emery.
The Blues are currently preparing to part ways with Armando Broja and they have lined up Duran as a potential replacement for the Albanian.
However, a deal could be difficult to pull off. Villa are reluctant to lose their young striker while he has now suffered an untimely injury.
Speaking in the press conference before the Chelsea game, Emery revealed that the Colombian won't be available for the next few weeks.
He told reporters earlier today: "The last action against Everton he was injured. For the next weeks he is not going to be available."
Chelsea host Villa in the fourth round of the FA Cup on Friday night. It promises to be an entertaining encounter with both teams in form.
Villa beat Chelsea in the last league meeting at Stamford Bridge. The Blues will be aiming to avenge the result by beating them tomorrow.
