Ouedraogo set for Premier League move?

Manchester United's new board have compiled a list of some of the best young players in the world, and prodigy Assan Ouedraogo is a name very high on the club's transfer wishlist. The Old Trafford side have reportedly made contact with Bundesliga club Schalke 04 regarding a move for the 17-year-old midfielder in the January transfer window.



Ouedraogo has appeared for Germany's under-16 and under-17 sides and is widely seen as one of the best prospects in the country. He has been a regular this campaign playing for Schalke in the German second division, where the club currently sit a worrying 14th place. The German side have started to blood younger players as they pursue a return to the top flight.

The player's parents are from Burkina Faso and Ouedraogo has yet to commit his international future to Germany nor the African country, but international honours will undoubtedly beckon for this young prodigy.

Man Utd manager Erik Ten Hag has received a compilation of clips on Ouedraogo and has been impressed with what he has seen so far. There are rumours that United will need to pay as much as 40 million euros to sign the Schalke 04 player. Ouedraogo can play on the left wing, in central midfield in a deep-lying midfield role or as an attacking central midfielder.
