Enes Unal joins Bournemouth
Bournemouth have snapped up Enes Unal on loan from Getafe, with the forward signing a short-term deal with the Cherries. The 26-year-old forward is very highly rated in Spain, and bagged 34 La Liga goals in 101 games for his parent club. Unal has previously had stints playing for Villarreal, Twente and Levante among others, but interestingly had a spell between 2015-17 and Man City.
Unal is a first-team regular for Turkey's national team, but has not been as prolific in front of goal for his country as he has been in the Spanish top flight. Bournemouth, who drew this evening with West Ham, are hoping that the 26-year-old striker can provide suitable backup for Dominic Solanke, who has started to show some tiredness in recent games. Solanke has been in great form in front of goal, but the Cherries want to add some competition to their attacking ranks.
It is believed that Bournemouth now have the first option to sign Unal on a permanent deal at the end of the season in a deal worth around 10 million euros.
