Liverpool suffer major blow ahead of Carabao Cup final

TAA out for weeks with knee injury

Liverpool have suffered a major blow with Trent Alexander-Arnold ruled out of the Carabao Cup final against Chelsea later this month.

The Merseyside giants have had a good Premier League campaign thus far and they are currently two points ahead of Manchester City at the top.

Pep Guardiola's side have a game in hand over the Reds and they will have the opportunity to return to the top of the table by next week.

Meanwhile, the Reds have other problems to contend with. Alexander-Arnold recently aggravated his knee injury in the victory over Burnley.

He was substituted at the half-time interval and it is now reported that he could be on the sidelines for the remainder of the month at least.

This is a huge blow for the Reds as he will miss the Carabao Cup final. Conor Bradley looks the natural replacement for the 25-year-old.

Bradley starred against Chelsea in a 4-1 Premier League win recently where he scored and assisted. He should get the nod over Joe Gomez.
