Mikel Arteta confirms double injury boost for Arsenal

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a double injury boost for the club ahead of the Premier League meeting against Newcastle United tomorrow.
The Gunners produced a dismal performance against Porto in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie. They failed to muster a single shot on target and conceded right at the end.
The players will be aiming to make amends versus the Magpies. Ahead of the game, Arteta has confirmed that Thomas Partey and Gabriel Jesus are very close to gaining full fitness in training.
The manager added that the duo will be closely assessed in the final session today before a final decision is made. It looks likely that the duo will be in the matchday squad at least for tomorrow's game.
Arsenal are currently on a five-match winning streak in the league. They are five points adrift of leaders Liverpool, but can reduce the gap by beating the Magpies in their game in hand this weekend.
