Erik ten Hag provides injury update ahead of derby
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on two players ahead of the Premier League derby against Manchester City.
The Red Devils returned to winning ways last night with a slender 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup fifth round at City Ground.
Casemiro scored a late winner from a Bruno Fernandes freekick and the club now face a huge challenge against Pep Guardiola's side at the Etihad.
Ahead of the game, Ten Hag has said that there are no fresh injury concerns and both Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane will play on Sunday.
Fernandes and Varane recovered from knocks to face Forest last night. They managed to come out unscathed and are set to feature in the derby.
United are already eight points behind the Champions League spots and they face a difficult game against the reigning English champions.
The club have not beaten the Cityzens at the Etihad since 2021. City are currently on a stunning 24-game unbeaten league streak.
