Arsenal send scouts to watch Sporting striker & defender

Arsenal have reportedly sent scouts to watch Sporting defender Ousmane Diomande and striker Viktor Gyokeres tonight.

Lisbon face off against Benfica in the second leg of the Taca de Portugal tonight where Diomande and Gyokeres will be in action.

The Gunners will have scouts in attendance at the Estadio da Luz. The club are looking to gather more information on the duo.

Diomande has developed into one of the best young centre-backs in the world. Arsenal are said to be lining up a summer move.

Meanwhile, Gyokeres has been a revelation up front for Sporting. He has already netted 36 goals and provided 14 assists this term.

Arsenal could be prepared to spend €140m up front on the duo. They have already held initial talks with the agents of both players.

The Gunners are not alone in the pursuit of the duo. Chelsea are also monitoring the pair and could provide strong competition.

However, Arsenal have an advantage in the fact that they are almost assured of Champions League football next season unlike the Blues.
