Kiwior to leave with Calafiori's arrival at Arsenal

Arsenal are open to selling Jakub Kiwior following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Poland international has been with the Gunners for the last 18 months, but his game time has been limited with only 38 appearances.

Kiwior was a regular starter at left-back between February and April last year, but manager Mikel Arteta preferred Takehiro Tomiyasu thereafter.

It is now reported that Kiwior is a likely candidate to leave the club with Calafiori expected to be a regular starter from the left-back role.

The Gunners signed the 24-year-old from Spezia for €20 million in January last year, and they are expected to hold out for a similar transfer fee.

Juventus, AC Milan and Inter Milan are among admirers. The Gunners are open to an initial loan deal, provided there is an obligation to buy.

Kiwior has already opened the door for a return to Serie A. He could prefer a reunion with his former Spezia manager Thiago Motta at Juventus.
