Saudi Arabia outfit want Moussa Diaby
Moussa Diaby's stay at Aston Villa could be coming to an end after just one season, as the 25-year-old attacking midfielder could be on his way to Saudi Arabia. The French international, who joined Villa from Bayer Leverkusen in 2023, is believed to be open to a move elsewhere having had a mixed first season in the Premier League. Diaby scored 6 goals in 38 games in the English top flight.
It is understood that Aston Villa manager Unai Emery is in no rush to let the winger leave, despite a reported £49 million offer from Al Ittihad. It is understood that Villa would accept closer to £60 million, but that a bid of that amount is unlikely.
Diaby emerged through Paris Saint-Germain's youth team ranks before finally making the step up in 2018. A move to Germany with Leverkusen followed, and this is where the 5 foot 7 forward really caught the eye.
Villa paid close to £52 million for the winger, a club record fee, and for many at the Birmingham outfit Diaby is a long way from living up to expectations and the club could now decide to cash in.
