Pippo Inzaghi reflecting on season

AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi insists that although they have had yet another disappointing season this time, they shall definitely bounce back next season.

Milan failed to capture that prized fourth spot in the Italian Serie A table in the recently concluded in the 2007-2008 season and finished a disappointing fifth.

This implies that Carlo Ancelotti's side shall play in the UEFA Cup next season. Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi reflects on the season just concluded and looks forward to next season:

"I remember that we played in the UEFA Cup when I arrived here in 2001.

"Back then we didn't have a solid foundation but now it's very different.

"It's true that we didn't have a good season in Serie A but I think that we will bounceback next season and I think this side has every chance of winning the Scudetto and we will put all our efforts into it.

"Next year we will also try and win the UEFA Cup which the final is in Istanbul and so we will go there to win it as we have left something there which we would like to take home with us."

AC Milan are about to undergo a squad renovation in the summer with some of the old guards expected to be chucked out of the red and black half of the San Siro and several new faces inducted into the unit for next season.
