Spanish keeper to leave Chelsea for Premier League rival
Spanish keeper to leave Chelsea for Premier League rival

Chelsea will finally sell some of their squad as Kepa Arrizabalaga has reportedly travelled to Bournemouth to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with regard to a move to the Cherries. Kepa Arrizabalaga spent last season on loan at Real Madrid, but the 29-year-old was disappointed to hear that the European champions decided against making a permanent transfer for the Spanish international.
Arrizabalaga became the most expensive goalkeeper in history when departing Athletic Bilbao for Chelsea in 2018, but after only 109 Premier League games the Ondarroa-born shot-stopper slipped down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and was farmed out on loan to Real. Chelsea have continued to add goalkeepers to their squad, but it appears Kepa Arrizabalaga is not going to be one of their backups.
Bournemouth currently have Neto in goal and had been linked with a move for Arsenal keeper Aaron Ramsdale, but have instead decided to swoop for the Chelsea man Arrizabalaga instead.
Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola is said to be delighted to have agreed a loan deal that includes an option for a permanent transfer worth approximately £15 million next summer.
