Chelsea make January transfer decision on Axel Disasi
Chelsea have made the decision to cash in on defender Axel Disasi when the transfer window reopens in January, according to Fichajes.
The Frenchman joined the Blues from Monaco last year for £40 million and he was a key player for the club during the 2023/24 season.
However, his playing time has drastically reduced this term. Disasi underwent a hernia surgery in pre-season which limited his minutes.
The former Rennes man started at right-back against Bournemouth, but he was dropped at West Ham United with Wesley Fofana getting the nod.
It is now reported that the Blues are prepared to part ways with Disasi in January, considering he is no longer in favour under Enzo Maresca.
Disasi was linked with multiple clubs this summer including Newcastle United and there could be fresh interest at the turn of the year.
The Blues will no doubt want to recoup the transfer fee paid to Monaco. Disasi is more likely to join another Premier League outfit.
