Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool, Reece James starts
Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed his starting line-up for today's Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
The Blues have had a good start to the campaign and they are currently on 14 points after seven games. A victory against the Reds can take them to third.
Ahead of the game, Maresca has been forced to make two changes with Wesley Fofana and Marc Cucurella suspended.
Robert Sanchez continues in goal following his heroics against Nottingham Forest last time around. He made a terrific stop in stoppage time.
In front of him, Tosin Adarabioyo has got the nod to partner Levi Colwill in central defence with Malo Gusto starting at left-back.
There is a surprise start for Reece James on the right side of the defence. He is making his first appearance since his hamstring injury.
There is also a surprise in midfield with Romeo Lavia picked to partner Moises Caicedo. Enzo Fernandez has dropped to the bench.
The attack also remains unchanged. Noni Madueke and Jadon Sancho have been picked to start on the right and left wing respectively.
Cole Palmer continues in his preferred number 10 position with Nicolas Jackson leading the attack ahead of Christopher Nkunku again.
Confirmed Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Liverpool: Sanchez; James, Adarabioyo, Colwill, Gusto; Caicedo, Lavia; Madueke, Palmer, Sancho; Jackson.
