Arsenal eyeing RB Leipzig star as William Saliba successor

Arsenal have their sights on landing RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba as a successor to William Saliba, according to TBR Football.

Saliba has established himself as one of the best defenders in the Premier League and this has increased speculation that he could leave for Real Madrid.

Madrid missed out on signing Leny Yoro from Lille last summer, but they are prepared to break the bank for a top quality central defender when the season ends.

It is now reported that Arsenal are preparing for every situation. Lukeba is being closely monitored and he could be signed if Saliba were to leave for Madrid.

Lukeba has also been on the radar of several other clubs including Liverpool and Arsenal won't have an easy challenge to secure his services next year.

The Reds see him as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk. The Dutchman's current deal expires next summer and he has yet to commit to a renewal.
