'We are very sad': Cucurella reacts to Chelsea injury blow
Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has reacted to the injury setback for club captain Reece James.
James has picked up several injuries over the past 18 months and he has suffered yet another hamstring issue.
The Englishman sustained the setback in training last week and the Blues are awaiting the exact timeframe for his return.
Amidst this, Cucurella has admitted that the team are very sad and James is a very important player in the squad.
He said: "We are very sad. It's tough. He's fit again then has a small injury.
"We know he's very important for us, he's our captain. He will work hard and can be with us again very soon."
Malo Gusto was also absent for the recent win at Leicester City. Wesley Fofana started from the right-back role.
The Blues have a big game against Aston Villa at home next weekend and Gusto is expected to return from illness.
James has not been ruled out for the encounter, but reports suggest that he could be sidelined for a couple of games.
