Arsenal are keeping a close eye on the performances of RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, according to The Athletic.

The Gunners were determined to sign the Slovenian striker last summer, but he was reluctant to play second fiddle to Kai Havertz.

Sesko ended up penning a new long-term contract with Leipzig that cancelled his £55m release clause, but the speculation has not ceased.

The youngster remains on the radar of the Gunners and they could make a new approach next summer if he decides to leave Leipzig.

Sesko has provided seven goals and three assists from 17 appearances this term. Havertz has just one goal contribution less than him.

Despite this, Arsenal are determined to bring the 21-year-old to north London as he has a huge ceiling and could become world-class in future.

He is a brilliant all-round striker just like Havertz, but has extra attributes such as the ability to score from long-range with powerful shots.
