Chelsea recall defender from loan after injury crisis
Chelsea have recalled Trevoh Chalobah from his season-long loan at Crystal Palace amid their injury crisis.
The Blues loaned out the Englishman to the Eagles last summer after he was deemed surplus to requirements.
The centre-back had a good time with the south London outfit, but has now been recalled by activating a break clause.
Chelsea are currently without Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badiashile with injuries. The former could be out for the season.
On top of the duo, Axel Disasi has been permitted to head for the exit door. He is poised to leave the club in the near future.
With this in mind, the Blues have made the decision to recall Chalobah instead of investing on another central defender.
Chalobah could be drafted straight into the starting XI. He could partner Levi Colwill for the next Premier League game.
The Blues have lost momentum with three points in the last five league outings and will be aiming to end the streak against Wolves.
