Lippi wants Chelsea job

Marcello Lippi wants the Chelsea job, according to reports in the Sunday Mirror. The Italian boss is reportedly interested in moving to Chelsea after the Blues sacked Avram Grant on Saturday.

The World Cup winning Italian coach has been out of the game for some time, and the opportunity of coaching Chelsea would be hard to miss.

Lippi has been reporting for some time that he would like to return to club management in 2008/2009.

Lippi probably faces a host of rivals for the Chelsea job though, with Sven-Goran Eriksson, Jose Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti, Guus Hiddink and Frank Rijkaard all linked with the vacant job.
