Arsenal enter race to sign Nigerian star this summer
Arsenal have entered the race to sign Nigerian forward Ademola Lookman from Atalanta this summer, as per Florian Plettenberg.
The Gunners are expected to pursue a versatile winger this summer and they have been heavily linked with Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams.
Williams' wage demands could be a huge stumbling block and Arsenal may look at alternative options ahead of the next transfer window.
Lookman has been linked with the club in the past and reports claim that the Gunners have made contact with the representatives of the winger.
The 27-year-old has scored 18 goals and provided seven assists this campaign. He is ready to pursue a bigger challenge over the summer.
Atalanta have set an asking price of around €60 million but the Gunners will be aiming to negotiate a lesser package to acquire his services.
A deal won't be straightforward, considering Liverpool and Manchester United are keeping tabs and could also enter the bidding battle for him.
