24yo star set for medical ahead of Liverpool transfer
Bayer Leverkusen star Jeremie Frimpong will undergo his medical with Liverpool ahead of his summer transfer, according to reputed journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Dutchman has had another fine campaign with Leverkusen. He has registered five goals and 12 assists from 48 games, mostly from right wing-back.
The 24-year-old was an unused substitute for the final game of Leverkusen's season against Mainz earlier today. He will soon travel to Merseyside for his medical.
The Netherlands international has already agreed personal terms with Arne Slot's side and a transfer could be finalised over the next few days.
Liverpool are in advanced negotiations with Leverkusen too and they are expected to finalise a long-term payment plan for his €35m release clause.
Frimpong will become Liverpool's first major signing of the summer transfer window and Slot may want several more additions too.
The club have enquired about the availability of Bayer Leverkusen sensation Florian Wirtz. He could be another realistic target.
