Arsenal pushing hard to sign 26yo striker before Man Utd?
Arsenal are pushing hard to sign Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres amid interest from Manchester United, according to O Jogo.
The Gunners are determined to bolster their striking department and they have been linked with Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko in recent weeks.
However, Portuguese sources claim that Gyokeres is the main target and the club are pushing the most to sign him amid interest from United.
The Red Devils have been monitoring him alongside the Gunners, but they can't offer the player with Champions League football next term.
Gyokeres is reportedly eager to play in the elite competition. This is reportedly a huge advantage for the Gunners in the pursuit.
The Gunners have already spoken with the representative of the striker and they are set to make a formal bid over the next few days.
Gyokeres has a release clause worth £84 million but Sporting CP have a gentleman's agreement to sell him for around £59 million.
