Man Utd to replace Fernandes with Sporting CP star?
Manchester United have their sights on landing Pedro Goncalves if Bruno Fernandes moves to the Saudi Pro League with Al Hilal, according to A Bola.
Fernandes has been a key player for the Red Devils. He registered 19 goals and 19 assists in all competitions for the club last season.
Despite this, his future is uncertain. The Portuguese is seriously considering a move to Al Hilal, who have offered him £700,000 per week.
If a deal materialises, United will receive around £100 million. The Red Devils plan to utilise the funds to purchase Goncalves.
The 26-year-old has been a key creator of chances for the Portuguese champions and he is open to pursuing a bigger challenge.
United boss Ruben Amorim also shared a fond relationship with Goncalves at Sporting CP and has opened the door for a reunion as well.
Goncalves started his career as a central midfielder, but he has also operated from the right and left wing positions in the last few years.
Sporting CP are expected to hold out for his £67m release clause.
