Chelsea hold positive talks to sign French goalkeeper
Chelsea have held positive talks with AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan over a transfer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Blues qualified for the Champions League with a top four league finish and they are expected to spend big during the summer.
The club have already agreed to land Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap and there could be more additions before the Club World Cup.
Chelsea recently opened discussions with Milan goalkeeper Maignan and the Frenchman has given the green light for a potential move.
The 29-year-old has been a key player for the Rossoneri, but the Milan giants could be forced to sell him with his contract expiring next summer.
The Rossoneri are set to face considerable losses after failing to qualify for Europe and could be prepared to part ways with Maignan for £25 million.
Maignan is also on the radar of multiple Saudi Pro League teams, but he is reportedly keen on continuing his career in European football.
