Liverpool enter race to sign Victor Osimhen
Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Napoli striker Victor Osimhen this summer, according to Givemesport.
The Merseyside giants have been very active at the start of the summer. They have already signed Jeremie Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Reds also have an agreement in place to land Florian Wirtz from Leverkusen while they are discussing a deal for Bournemouth's Milos Kerkez.
Amidst this, Givemesport claim that the Premier League champions are eyeing a new striker. Victor Osimhen is one of the names on their radar.
The Nigerian star had a fantastic 2024/25 campaign with Galatasaray on loan. He scored 37 goals in all competition for the Turkish giants.
Napoli are now open to selling him for his £63 million release clause, and the Reds could make an ambitious swoop for his signature.
United are also admirers of the marksman, but they are reluctant to meet his weekly wage demands of £350,000 per week before taxes.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will match his salary request.
