Man Utd now want to sign Bundesliga striker after Gyokeres blow

Manchester United have turned their attention to signing Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, according to Foot Mercato.
The Red Devils were recently in contact with Sporting Lisbon for Viktor Gyokeres and seemed confident of landing the Sweden international.
However, the 27-year-old has snubbed the proposal from the Red Devils and he has informed his desire to join the Gunners in the coming days.
Hence, United need to pursue an alternative and reports claim that they are planning to open negotiations with Eintracht for Ekitike pretty soon.
The Frenchman had a solid 2024/25 campaign with the German outfit. He registered 22 goals and 12 assists in all competitions last term.
Ekitike is open to pursuing a bigger challenge away from the Bundesliga. United are one of his main admirers alongside Chelsea and Liverpool.
However, a deal won't be easy to pursue. Eintracht are expected to demand at least €100m for his services and they are unlikely to compensate on that.
