Man Utd handed unexpected boost on Gyokeres
Manchester United have been handed an unexpected boost in the race to sign Arsenal target Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP.
Gyokeres recently gave the green light to join the Gunners, but the London giants are not certain to sign him at the moment.
Their opening offer worth €65m was turned down by the Portuguese champions, who have responded with a €80m price tag.
Arsenal are fed up with the demands of Sporting CP, and they have decided to pursue a deal for Benjamin Sesko and Ollie Watkins.
The news is a huge boost for the Red Devils, who have identified Gyokeres as a top target to bolster the centre-forward department.
Gyokeres had a close relationship with manager Ruben Amorim and the Portuguese could persuade him to join the club this summer.
If Arsenal don't return for the Sweden international, United could be in a strong position to convince the striker into a transfer.
Gyokeres netted a stunning tally of 54 goals from 52 games for Sporting CP last term. He is ready for a bigger challenge in his career.
