Arsenal make £50m bid to sign Noni Madueke

Madueke close to Arsenal move?

Arsenal have made an opening bid of £50 million plus add-ons to sign Chelsea winger Noni Madueke this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The England international has been a key player for the Blues this campaign, registering 11 goals and five assists across all competitions.

He is prepared to pursue a new challenge next term and reports claim that the forward has already agreed personal terms with the Gunners.

Romano now reports that the Gunners have lodged an opening offer of £50m plus add-ons to purchase the former PSV Eindhoven man.

However, the Blues are eyeing a much higher figure. They have set the £55m transfer of Anthony Elanga to Newcastle United as a benchmark.

With the small gap in valuations, it appears only a matter of time before the Gunners strike an agreement with the Blues for the versatile ace.

The 23-year-old is primarily a right-sided winger, but it is likely that manager Mikel Arteta will play him from the left flank next season.
