Arsenal told to pay more to sign Spanish star
Arsenal have reportedly been told to pay more to purchase Valencia defender Cristhian Mosquera this summer.
The Gunners have already agreed terms with the Spain youth international, but they have yet to sort out a transfer fee.
The club have so far offered £14 million for the versatile centre-back, but Valencia want at least £20m for his transfer.
Arsenal have not given up on the 21-year-old and they are expected to return with a renewed offer in the next few days.
The Gunners face no competition in the pursuit of Mosquera and therefore, are not in a hurry to secure an agreement.
Arsenal have so far signed Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi. They are expected to announce Christian Norgaard's arrival this week.
Aside from the trio, Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is widely expected to join. Arsenal are close to landing a deal.
The club are also working hard to sign Chelsea winger Noni Madueke. An opening bid worth £50m for the 23-year-old.
