Arsenal in advanced talks with Fulham to offload winger

Reiss Nelson news

Nelson to Fulham?

Arsenal are in advanced talks with Fulham over the transfer of Reiss Nelson, according to journalist David Ornstein.

The Gunners have spent almost £200 million on new signings this summer and they are expected to continue their spending spree.

The club are eyeing one more signing in the transfer window and that could depend on money recouped from several outgoings.

Ornstein now reports that Fulham have initiated contacted with Arsenal for Nelson, who spent last season on loan with them.

His temporary spell was cut short by a season-ending injury, but Nelson is said to be eager to rejoin the west London outfit.

The Cottagers have now reopened talks for the winger. Arsenal are open to a loan deal with an option or obligation to buy.

The club are looking for a significant fee to part ways with the 25-year-old, who has failed to live up to his early potential.

Nelson is presently with Arsenal on their pre-season tour.
