Benjamin Sesko makes Man Utd transfer decision
RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko would favour a move to Manchester United amid interest from Newcastle United this summer, according to Ben Jacobs.
The Slovenian was a top target for Premier League rivals Arsenal earlier in the summer, but they moved on to Viktor Gyokeres after failing to reach an agreement with Leipzig over the fee.
Sesko could still move to the Premier League this summer. The Magpies made contact with the player earlier last week and they want him as a replacement for Alexander Isak.
However, they are set to face competition from the Red Devils. Sesko has opened the door to joining the Mancunian giants despite the Magpies being in the Champions League next term.
The big question remains whether United can afford the price to sign Sesko. Leipzig are holding out for a package between €80-90m and may want the majority of the transfer fee upfront.
United's chances of signing him may depend on player sales.
