Chelsea are making steady progress in the pursuit of Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blues have already strengthened their attack this summer with the purchases of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

However, they are aiming to add more ammunition before the deadline with the likes of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson due to leave.

Garnacho is one of the top names on their radar and Romano claims that talks are ongoing with the Red Devils to secure a suitable deal.

United want around £50 million to part ways with their graduate, but there is growing optimism that the Blues can sign him for less.

Garnacho is no longer in the plans of manager Ruben Amorim and the Portuguese has personally confirmed that the winger will leave.

Hence, clubs are aware of the situation. The Blues are said to be eyeing a deal worth £35m to sign the Argentine before the window closes.
