Hojlund to join Napoli on loan
Man Utd striker Rasmus Hojlund has flown to Italy this evening and will put pen to paper on a loan deal with Napoli until the end of the 2025/26 season. The Denmark international striker has been frozen out of the United plans for the current campaign, and the arrivals of Bryan Mbuemo, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko leave Hojlund with no option but to seek regular minutes elsewhere.
Arriving from Atalanta with a hefty price tag and a big reputation, many expected Hojlund would be an excellent signing for Manchester United, but the Danish striker failed to live up to expectations and will leave on a temporary basis.
Ruben Amorim has so far struggled to get the best out of Hojlund, and despite some signs of promise in the Premier League in United's last two games, the club continues to struggle in front of goal, leading many to believe that the manager could be under pressure.
Hojlund also will be allowed to join Napoli on a permanent basis at the end of the season, with a fee of 30 million euros already agreed.
