Chelsea striker target set to join RB Leipzig
Chelsea striker target Conrad Harder looks set to join RB Leipzig on a permanent deal from Sporting CP this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Harder played second fiddle to Viktor Gyokeres upfront last season. With the Swede's exit to Arsenal, it was predicted that he could become the main man upfront.
However, Luis Suarez has since become the first-choice striker for the Portuguese champions following his arrival from Almeria in Spain.
Harder has now been permitted to secure a new challenge. Chelsea were contemplating a move for him earlier today after Liam Delap's long-term hamstring injury.
That is unlikely to happen any longer as Harder has decided to join Leipzig. The Bundesliga outfit have now added two strikers to compensate for Benjamin Sesko's exit.
The German heavyweights landed Romulo Cardoso from Goztepe earlier this month. There is still a possibility that Lois Openda could leave Leipzig before the deadline.
The Belgian striker is a loan target for Bayern Munich.
