Greenwood set for Spain return to Barcelona?

Barcelona are to prioritise a transfer move for Marseille forward Mason Greenwood in the January transfer window, after the Englishman's stunning start to the season for the Ligue 1 outfit. The former Man Utd striker, who left the club in shame, has reignited his career in France and could now be set for a shock move to Spain.

Greenwood had a loan spell with Getafe in La Liga, and ultimately wants to prove that English clubs were wrong to force him to move to another country.

Greenwood has scored 28 top flight goals in 43 games for Marseille, and the 24-year-old has put his club within touching distance of PSG at the top of the league table.

Barcelona are impressed with loan forward Marcus Rashford, who has also been forced out at Manchester United, and want to sign Rash and his former colleague Greenwood in the January window.

It is understood that Marseille do not want to sell the player, but would be willing to listen to any offers in excess of 60 million euros.
