Mikel Arteta confirms big Arsenal boost for Sunderland game

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a big boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Sunderland at the Emirates Stadium tomorrow.
The Gunners host the Black Cats in Saturday's afternoon kick-off. They have the opportunity to extend their six point lead at the top of the standings.
Ahead of the game, Arteta has confirmed that Jurrien Timber is fit and available. The Dutchman was absent in yesterday's training session which led to questions surrounding his fitness.
However, the manager clarified that the right-back is fine and will be available to face the Black Cats. While Timber is deemed fit, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino are out.
Saka is nursing a minor hip problem and he is not far away from a return. Odegaard is reportedly only days away from returning to full training.
Merino is the only long-term absentee among the senior players. The Spaniard is out for the next couple of months due to a foot injury.
