Arsenal eyeing transfer for Victor Osimhen

Arsenal could make a shock move for Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen during the next transfer window.

The Gunners signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP last summer, and he has fared well with 18 goals so far.

Despite this, the club are eyeing another top-notch striker to compete, given Kai Havertz's ongoing injury woes.

Arsenal are also expected to offload Gabriel Jesus, and reports claim that Osimhen could be a target this summer.

Sporting director Andrea Berta was recently in attendance to watch Galatasaray's 3-1 league win over Fenerbahce.

Osimhen opened the scoring in the same game, which took his tally to 20 goals for the season alongside seven assists.

The Nigerian has previously turned down a move to Chelsea due to a disagreement regarding personal terms.

He already earns a staggering £314,000 per week at Gala, which could prove a huge stumbling block in signing him.

With taxes in Turkey being much lower than in England, he could demand a higher weekly package to make the switch.

Galatasaray could also hold out for at least £100m for a transfer.
