Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jacksons future at Chelsea

Jackson to be sold by Chelsea

Chelsea are widely expected to part ways with striker Nicolas Jackson when the transfer window reopens this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Senegal international was loaned out to Bayern Munich last summer with an option to buy. The German champions have declined to trigger the clause, and Jackson will return to west London later this year.

Chelsea have no plans of keeping hold of the talented marksman and reports claim that Jackson is also prepared to cut ties permanently, given the breakdown in relationship with the Blues' hierarchy.

Amidst this, Romano has revealed that Chelsea are poised to part ways with Jackson. There is interest from Italian clubs, but a loan deal could be the preferred solution in that case.

He added that Aston Villa and Newcastle United explored a move for the former Villarreal man last summer and it remains to be seen whether the duo will return for his services.

Chelsea are yet to set an asking price for the 24-year-old.
