Man Utd planning for another midfielder after Santos

Manchester United have their sights on landing another midfielder despite the surprise signing of Chelsea ace Andrey Santos.

The Red Devils secured a verbal agreement worth £50m for Santos earlier today, and he is expected to undergo his medical tomorrow.

He is poised to become the club's second midfield arrival. Ederson is likewise expected to undergo his medical in the next few days.

Despite two new acquisitions, United are still aiming to strengthen their midfield department and want a marquee arrival soon.

Real Madrid's Aurelien Tchouameni is one of the top names on their radar, but he has yet to be convinced to make the switch to Manchester.

Newcastle United star Bruno Guimaraes is also being closely monitored, but the Brazil international prefers a move to Arsenal.

United are looking at more options in the transfer market. There is some speculation that Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez could be targeted.
