Ferdinand no to Newcastle
West Ham defender Anton Ferdinand has reportedly been in discussions with Newcastle United with regard to a permanent move to St. James Park, but last night pulled out of negotations.
It is not yet understood why Rio Ferdinand's brother decided to pull out of talks, but there are some rumours that two other Premiership sides - one believed to be Tottenham - have made a concrete offer for the England international hopeful.
Ferdinand is valued by his club West Ham in the region of around £6 million, and the Hammers are believed to be ready to allow him the chance to leave.
