Tottenham Hotspur are still leading the way to sign England international goalkeeper David James from Portmsouth this January.
Spurs' current goalkeeper Huerelho Gomes continues to make mistakes most weeks in the Premiership, and Redknapp is keen to find a replacement for the Brazilian misfit.
